Send the Piñata WhatsApp number a voice note, a screenshot or a shop link. You check the draft before it goes on your list, or type the wish in yourself.

Friends plan it
A friend claims a gift, or a few friends pool money behind one buyer. They pay each other the way your group already does; Piñata keeps the tally and holds no money.

Hand it over
Friends write messages for a gift card. Someone hands it over in person or shares it themselves. Piñata never sends it.

For friends
Join with the number that was invited. Claim a gift or pool behind one buyer, and mark what you paid.
The gift card
Each person writes their own message. Someone downloads the card and hands it over with the gift.
Questions
Before you start
- Does Piñata hold our money?
- No. Friends pay each other directly. Piñata only records who pledged what and who has marked it paid.
- Which currencies does it use?
- US dollars by default. You can price each gift in rand, euro or pounds instead, and a pool always uses its gift's currency.
- Do I need to install an app?
- No. It opens in the browser from the link in your WhatsApp group. Friends need to be on the circle's invite list.
- Does the AI decide anything?
- No. It turns a voice note, photo or link into a draft, and a person confirms it. You can switch each AI feature off in Settings.
